Last week we designed a general-access blog for the Spalding School of Dance so that staff/members could enjoy some photographic highlights captured at their annual Summer Show: Flashback!

The images, all taken by JWDC Creative Director Jake Whiteley, proved to be a huge hit with SSD owners Claire Cole and Lorraine King, who said it would have been such a shame not to have had a record from what everyone agreed was an amazing series of performances. Well done to all concerned!…

In July 2011 JWDC launched the new Visual Identity for Elephant Rose, a company specialising in bespoke film production for private commission.

The core market for the Elephant Rose service is exclusive, with focus on high-end wedding/events planners and wealthy, discerning individuals with the means to commission a broadcast-quality, documentary-style record of their special occasion. Protection of privacy & utmost discretion are other key watchwords that set Elephant Rose aside from competitors

Founded in April 2009 by documentary filmmaker Richard Nicholls (BAFTA-nominated) and network television presenter Rachel Pierman, the company has already been commissioned to film a celebrity wedding and celebration of life testimonial. Expansion of the business demanded the need for a striking new Brand Name and Visual Identity which will adorn a carefully co-ordinated marketing strategy  throughout 2011/2012, developed jointly between JWDC and Elephant Rose.

When considering the brand name we wanted something that would provoke intrigue and be remembered – something aong the lines of ‘The Fabulous Bespoke Film Production Company’ was never going to float the client’s boat! Caffeine-fuelled brainstorming sessions lead us down a path well-trodden by such luminaries as Nike, Moonpig, GiffGaff, Reebok, Bing, Apple, Google, etc – companies who have become synonomous in their sectors without ever describing what they provide within their brand identity…

Inspired by the French for Pink Elephant – for no other reason than if you encountered one you wouldn’t forget it – Elephant Rose (pronounced in the best Gallic accent we could muster) was born and the client loved it!

Once the quality and diversity of the Elephant Rose service is experienced, we’re confident that when it comes to commissioning a bespoke film in a documentary style there really is only one company to contact…

Though much smaller than the comprehensive website we designed for parent company, Aspire Health & Wellbeing, it was still important that Spalding Physiotherapy had a Holding Presence which appealed to as wide an audience as possible, in a way which was far more eye-catching & engaging than the simple electronic business card that preceeded what JWDC created…

We’re confident that this simple but dynamic online presence will prove as successful for the client as the full website we designed for Aspire and that very soon she will be asking us to design & develop a fuller version – once she’s finished dealing with the enquiries of all those making for her door!

From little acorns, as they say…

2011 has already been a very positive year for leading Lincolnshire-based property developer, Seagate Homes, with a clutch of new developments having been granted planning permission or already having had building work started.

Seagate‘s fabulously inviting website, designed and launched by JWDC in February 2011, will be refreshed within the coming 48 hours to reflect the latest round of positive activity which sees new-build homes in Hanthorpe, Heacham and Spalding well under way and plans to begin building at Baston and Maxey also just over the horizon.

Summer is fast-approaching and clients are looking to expand their offers as thoughts of most consumers drift towards spending on holidays, relaxation and enjoyment rather than the mundane.

Spalding-based health & wellbeing centre, Aspire, approached us to see how we might help them attract interest in their beauty & spa offer throughout the summer months. A limited-time discount offer was the solution; one which would appeal to their predominantly female clientele who will already be dreaming of looking their best for the upcoming summer ball season, beach holiday, wedding or special celebration. With budgets being monitored closely our solution was to combine a printed leaflet/voucher and highlight awareness of the offer on the Aspire website. Now all we have to do is sit back and wait for the client to tell us what a raging success the whole thing has been – while we get our heads down and plan how best we can help Aspire capitalise on the Autumn and Winter seasons!…
